The personal interpretation of the awareness that life is going by is depicted by the figure that is sitting and crying. At this point the figure is tired and has no energy and is despaired. The model in Ken Tielkemeier’s studio is next to an owl , symbol of death. We notice the continuity with the last period with the figure of a cat.
